They just closed on the purchase of a condominium in Pewaukee in the same development where they had wanted to buy three years ago.
Fannie Mae Offers 3.5% Incentive to Home Buyers

WASHINGTON, April 11, 2011—Fannie Mae is sweetening the deal it’s offering on the foreclosed homes it must sell. Buyers can get up to 3.5% of their closing costs paid by the mortgage market giant.
The closing-cost offer applies only to Fannie Mae-owned HomePath properties. The initial offer must be submitted on or after April 11, 2011, and the sale must close on or before June 30, 2011, to be eligible for the incentive.
Active Duty Military Can Still Get Home Buyer Tax Credit

The home buyer tax credit deadline is fast approaching for active duty military service members. While the original home buyer tax credit ran out in April of 2010, service members were given until April 30, 2011, to get a home under contract and take advantage of up to $8,000 in tax credits for first-time buyers and $6,500 in credits for repeat buyers.
